Sunny and Snowy Spring Snowshoeing

It snowed on Friday, so we went snowshoeing!  We went to Millcreek Canyon and tried the Pipeline Trail for a while.  It was such a nice day!  Since it was a weekday, it wasn’t crowded at all!  The snow was extremely fluffy and pretty.  It was very winter-like, except for the sound of spring birds chirping.  The view of the Salt Lake Valley from the trail was also spring-like with sun shining and green trees.  When we started on the trail, it was very sunny there as well, but as we hiked higher up the trail, we got into the clouds and snow!  Before we got back to the bottom of the trail, it was sunny again.  The temperature high was only 47F in Salt Lake City on that day, and right now it is 75F with a low of 51F tonight.  Crazy how much the weather can fluctuate in just a few days!

I wonder if we’ll get the chance to snowshoe again before next winter…  there is still snow in the mountains, so hopefully we will!
