Fort Clatsop and Cannon Beach

After we went to Cape Disappointment, we headed to Fort Clatsop National Memorial.  It was really cool!  There was a replica of the original fort.  Fort Clatsop was the winter encampment for the Lewis and Clark Expedition from December 1805 to March 1806.

After we looked around at Fort Clatsop, we went to Cannon Beach to visit Ecola State Park! That place is so beautiful! We loved everything there! We walked on some trails and enjoyed amazing views. We even saw an adorable little rabbit! We also saw Tillamook Rock Lighthouse.  Then we walked around on Indian Beach which was, of course, gorgeous.  There were quite a few people surfing there!

We went over to Tolovana Beach to watch the sunset.  It was such a wonderful evening!  The sunset was so beautiful and the weather was so nice!  There were lots of birds swarming around Haystack Rock, which was fun to watch.  Oh, and Haystack Rock is supposedly the third largest monolith in the world!  It’s also a protected Marine Garden.

That night we stayed in Tillamook and then had a really fun day the next day which we will write about later!
